There comes a point in life where you start to look at things a little differently.
Not because you have to…but because you’ve lived enough to know what matters—and what doesn’t.
I’ve spent most of my life in business.
Sales organizations. Technology companies. Startups. Growth. Pressure. Deadlines. The constant push to hit the next number. I worked with companies like NYNEX, CompuCom, and Dell. Along the way, I had the opportunity to co-found and help grow a company that was recognized as one of the fastest-growing private companies in the Puget Sound region.
It was good work. Meaningful work.
But like a lot of people who have been in the game a long time, I eventually found myself asking a quieter question:
What now?
Not in a dramatic way. Not in a “burn it all down and start over” way.
Just a steady, honest question that shows up when you’ve done enough to know you’re not finished yet.
You Don’t Have to Start Over
One of the things that has always bothered me about the way the world talks about business, especially online, is how much of it feels like it’s aimed at people just getting started in life.
Fast-paced. Trend-driven. Built around energy levels that assume you’re in your 20s or 30s.
But there’s another group of people…a large group, actually, who aren’t starting from scratch.
They’re starting from experience.
People who have spent decades learning how things actually work.
People who have solved problems, built relationships, handled setbacks, and figured things out the hard way.
And yet, when they look around for guidance on what comes next, they’re often met with noise that doesn’t quite fit.
That’s where this began for me.
Because I don’t believe you have to start over.
I believe you can start from where you are—with everything you’ve already built.
Why Seniorpreneur Lab Exists
SeniorpreneurLab wasn’t created as a big idea.
It came together slowly… the way most worthwhile things do.
It started with conversations. Questions. A growing awareness that a lot of people over 50, 60, even 70 were standing at the edge of something new—but didn’t have a clear path forward.
Not because they weren’t capable. Because nobody was really speaking to them in a way that made sense.
So I decided to build something that would.
A place that feels a little more grounded. A little more patient. A little more respectful of the fact that experience matters.
SeniorpreneurLab is where I share what I’ve learned—and what I’m still learning—about building something meaningful in what many people call a “second act.”
Not bigger for the sake of bigger. Not faster for the sake of faster.
Just… better aligned.
What I Believe About This Stage of Life
I don’t see this chapter as a winding down.
I see it as a narrowing in.
Less noise. More clarity.
You start to care less about chasing everything…and more about choosing the right things.
For some people, that might be a small business. For others, it’s a creative project, a newsletter, a YouTube channel, or simply a way to stay engaged and useful.
It doesn’t have to be complicated.
And it doesn’t have to look like what everyone else is doing.
A Different Kind of Approach
If you spend any time here, you’ll probably notice something.
There’s no rush. No pressure to “scale fast.” No complicated funnels dressed up as simple solutions.
Just clear ideas. Practical tools. And a steady, respectful approach to building something that fits your life.
I’ve always believed that the best work comes from understanding how things actually work, and then simplifying them in a way that people can use.
That’s what I try to do here.
A Personal Note
At this stage of my life, I’m not trying to prove anything.
I’m more interested in being useful.
If something I share helps you take a step, any step, toward something that matters to you, then this has done its job.
Because the truth is…
You didn’t come this far to play it small. And whatever you decide to build next…
You don’t have to do it the hard way.
